VIDEO: Mark Making Doodle + Teaching News!

A page from Kim Dellow's Daily Doodle Diary + Teaching News!

Yay! The Free Life Book 2020 Creativity and Wellbeing Summit has started! You can find out more about it in my video today whilst watching me doing one of my Daily Doodle Diary doodles and maybe being a little silly too *wink!

Oh and I have a new pen to show you, that I am just trying out. It is a brush fountain pen. Have you tried one? The one I am using is listed below the video.

Sorry! Sidetracked by a pen! So the Summit is an amazing collection of creative inspiration and free art content, so have a load of fun watching the artist interviews, playing along with the activities and enjoy the free goody bag too! And if you haven’t yet joined in, you can join on the Life Book Summit Page

VIDEO: Easy Acrylic Paint Doodle Flowers

Easy Acrylic Paint Doodle Flowers by Kim Dellow

I have some doodle flowers for you today in more ways than one! I will explain in a minute but keep tuned because I have a little ‘thank you’ freebie that you might like to grab!

But let me start you off with this piece today, I mean you will hear all about this doodle flower process in the video of course but you might be looking at the picture above and wondering about it.

Like way are there dots and lines behind the flowers? I quite like those dots and lines I think they add an even more bouquet feel to the piece, as if the doodle flowers bouquet was wrapped in one of those decorated cellophane spirals, do you know what I mean?

Well this piece started as a mark making project and turned into the doodle flowers and I think it is my favorite floral June piece, although the ‘Quick Inspiration’ leaf piece is a close second!

I liked it so much that I thought I would make it a giveaway to say thank you for joining me this month with the floral projects! So I have a black and white version of the line drawing for you to download over on my Patreon page and color in or use in your art. It is free for your own non-commercial use and you don’t have to be a Patreon to grab it (it is just easier to host it over there as a download!).

If you are my Patreon you can also grab the colored version of this piece too and you can use it in your art or hang it on your wall if you like!

I hope you have fun and enjoy it!

VIDEO: 3 Paper Doodling Ideas Using Someone Else’s Papers

3 different paper doodling ideas from Kim Dellow

If you still haven’t tried Paper doodling then maybe my three paper doodling projects this week will get you cutting! I have swapped out my own leftover papers for some gorgeous paper downloads that I bought from the lovely Judy who owns the Etsy shop JADESMiXEdMediaArt. They are so rich and full of details and color that I just had to try paper doodling with them. You can also find Judy over on Instagram too so do pop on over and say hi!.

These papers are so lovely and bright that I think they work well on dark backgrounds. I have some more ideas of where you can use your paper doodles and on what surfaces in this week’s video. Don’t forget that if you have missed all the paper doodling fun you can find out how to do it in my How To Paper Doodle Video.
