Coming Up In December 2024 Art Club
Next month is going to be a month of Gathering and Reflecting in Art Club. December is a great month to collect together all of the things that are important to you, that ground you and give you strength, resilience and joy. What you gather can be anything that but of course my focus for art club will be the art side of this.
There is reflection too within the gathering, reflecting on what you have loved, all of the little and big enjoyments over the year with your art. Then looking forward to the new year and deciding on where you should focus your energy as you grow your art and what you want to take with you into the new year.
December can often be a busy, stressful, anxious month for a lot of people so I think having a slow, gathering and reflecting art month is a great way to find your touchstones of love and strength and get ready for the new year ahead. So we are going to be pretty laid back in our creative exercises this month with the emphasis on play and mindfulness being foremost throughout!
And our first creative exercise will be in Journal Club this month.
Journal Club
Explore your smaller page formats and bring together all the themes, ideas, colours, materials you have been loving this year. Follow your heart to create intuitively and organically and see where it takes you.

In The Studio
You have two very different exercises to try this month in the studio. The first exercise will lead you through a mindful sketchbook or art journal practice. Again focusing on following your own lead and discovering what is sparking your creativity at the moment.
Then in the second video find out how I work out what I want to focus on with my art as I take you through an exercise to help you to find what is important to you and where you want to spend your art time and energy in 2025.
