I am flexing my mixed media muscles today with a double page spread in my junk journal that is all about experimenting with gouache and acrylic paint.
You have seen me use gouache before, I go through my gouache phases! And you have seen me use it with acrylic paint in the same piece. But usually it will be as just a top layer or on a separate section.
But for this project I really wanted to see how gouache and acrylic paint play together when you layer them up and just alternate between the two.
It can be hard to tell when I am using which paint as the colors are very close to each other, but as you watch through the video I have try to note which type of paint I am using so keep an eye out for the captions!

Come And Connect With Me:
Hi Kim
I do know how gouache works, but I never worked with them and no, I don’t get them. Have enough of what I never wanted to buy LOL
The advantage is of course that they can be used like watercolors, let them dry and use again.
Have a lovely weekend 🙂
Greetings from Germany
