A Year Of Magic and Fairy Tales 2026 is the new year-long mixed media course for 2026 from the amazing Tam Laporte and the Willowing Arts Team. I am again honoured to be both an affiliate and teacher on next year’s course and I am so looking forward to sharing all things magical with you in my class contributions for this course. This fits in so well with some of my favourite focuses of connections and storytelling in our art.
I am only one of 30+ teachers contributing to this year’s course and the theme, as you have guessed, is all things magic, myth, legend, fairy tales. It is about using our art to express everything from the everyday to those stories that help us to process and learn more about the world. All whilst learning new mixed media ideas and exploring techniques, textures, materials in a joyful and fun way.
