VIDEO: How to Start Mixed Media Art - A Creative Exercise Technique

I wasn’t really sure what to call today’s video so I am going with ‘How To Start Mixed Media Art’. But we aren’t just going to start some art. I’m going to take you through all the steps to get you through to a finished piece, actually a collection of three finished pieces. Hey, why do one when you can do three, right?!

The idea is that you can add this exercise to your mixed media art and art journaling practice to help you to overcome overthinking and being too critical about your art too early on in the process. Which I know many of you suffer from, I suffer from it a lot myself.

And if you are not an overthinker and don’t have a problem with your inner critic then try this exercise as a warm-up to get you in the mood for your next big art session, it works great for that too!

    Hi Kim,
yeah.. I am still here 🙂 was a bit busy with doing nothing. So I am catching up with you here now.
I do like the circles best, followed by the rectangles and then the one with the heart.
These colours really work well with the craft paper.
    Greetings from Germany
