Butterfly Wings

Hi Guys, I have another digital art piece for you today and this one is inspired by the challenge over at Art Creation Friday where you get a different picture inspiration each week to make anything you like with.

Here is my piece for the challenge and I’ve called her Butterfly Wings.

The picture below was the original inspiration which a quick Google search tells me is work done by the Victorian artist Charles Burton Barber, only I could not find this version of the painting just different versions so I’m a bit confused!

Anyone who knows their Victorian artists I would be very grateful if you could put me out of my misery and tell me what this painting is called – Ta!

Edit: Thanks to the lovely Diane for putting me out of my misery and letting me know that the painting is called ‘In Disgrace’ – thanks sweetie!

Have glorious Sundays.

Kim

I have always loved the original painting, and what you have done with it here is really great – the light on the trees work really well with the reflected light in her dress. Good work!
