It is art challenge time and I have teamed up with Gerry van der Velden from Gerry’s Craft Room to bring you some inspiration for using fabric in your art and craft projects. So in this collaboration we both went off and made some projects and the only rule was that they had to include fabric.
And it was kind of lucky because this month I have been making DIY art journals and sketchbooks with my $5 and above Patreon members. So I decided to make a fabric book cover with my Patrons and then decorate it for my collaboration with Gerry! Yay!
You can see the decorating of this cover below in my art fabric video and if you want to see how I made the cover, and the whole book, then come (Not sure what Patreon is then )

What was the last art or craft project you did that included fabric? I would love to hear!
Now if you are looking for more ideas for what to but inside your DIY art journal then I have a whole for you to binge next!
Enjoy!

What shall I say… it is amazing! I love it, may I get it for Christmas? 😉
I have never used any sort of fabric for things like that. Since I had some very cheap stuff – came as wrapping for some pillows I bought some years ago – I used some of it for card for a friend on their 35th anniversary because we call that “linen anniversary”. Also used a bit a year later on the 60th birthday of another friend because she was a seamstress, so I made the card with a picture of a sewing machine and put the stripe of the fabric through a slit that it looks like to be in the machine. The only two times ever to use some sort of fabric.
Hope you have a lovely weekend, not as hot as here. But tomorrow is supposed to be the last hot day. So whoever is responsible for the weather up there read the forecast LOL
Greetings from here 🙂
Hiya Rena,
I am so glad you like it! I love your inspiration for projects they both sound wonderful and I bet the recipients loved them! Such good ways to use fabric.
I really enjoyed doing one of my paint messes on this denim it was really good fun!
The weather has turned much cooler here. It is a lovely sunny day but there is a very chill breeze coming through the window!
Have a lovely weekend too.
