Mo and her challenge design team have launched a new challenge blog called Bronte and Bella's Challenge blog and their first challenge is to use 'Perple' aka purple in your creation with one of Mo's illustrations. So here you go a 'Perple' creation using one of the Dani and Friends images and a ribbon I made using eyelet stitch. I've used my…

A Bit Of Stitching

Midweek already, would you believe it? I've not got a card for you today but I have a little bit of my amateur embroidery play :) This piece takes some influence from the Sea and the eyelet stitching uses a technique from an article by Jean Draper in Oct/Nov Stitch Magazine. Have a lovely rock pool sort of a day. Kim

Queen Bee

Something a little different for today, not a card but a picture made from printable fabric. I had great fun designing the background in Photoshop Elements and then printing it out on printable linen from Craft Computer Paper. I've used hand embroidery, machine embroidery and quilting techniques to finish this picture. The fabric for the Yo Yo flowers and fence were also…

More Moving House

Another moving house card for you, I'm obviously going through a moving house phase at the moment! The house is made of fabric, backed with card and sprayed with Shimmerz Spritz Baby's Breath for that sparkle and I've used Shimmerz Paints Teal on the embossed card and yummy Choc-o-lot on the button. Have a sparkly house Saturday Kim Materials: Stamp - Studio…

The course was run by the Embroiderers' Guild and taught by the amazing Pam Watts.…

Darla Does The Housework

Boy, I wish she would come round to my place - it needs a good clean! A late post today and I have no excuse. Where does the time go? Well, it certainly wasn't from doing any housework. The lovely Darla here is from InStyle Stamps and is coloured in with a mix of Prismacolor pencils and my new Koh-i-noor pencils, which…

My First Creative Embroidery Piece

In February I dyed some fabric and threads all the colours of the rainbow in my creative embroidery course. Well, I've used some of the fabric to make my first piece of creative embroidery that I've taken from first designs principles through to a finished product - hurrah! And OK, so a four-year-old child could probably do a better job, but I…

At Last!

I've had time to play with my Ms Anya stamps. I thought that I would join in with the challenge over at Creative Card Crew which this week is about embossing. I've embossed the pearlescent tulips with my Cuttlebug and added some hand-stitching and glitter glue to finish the card. Ms Anya is coloured with my Copics and promarkers. I've been completely…
