I am trying out the Molotow One4All, I haven’t used these pens before as they can be a little bit on the expensive side but one of my favorite art shops has them on at a good price at the moment (I’ve listed it in the supplies under the video if you are interested). So, well I could not resist buying a few colors to complement my other paint pens. You see I am still trying to find the perfect paint pen, so I have a mix and match range of different pens from different companies and these ones fitted right on in!
So my art video today is all about testing out these paint pens and if you watch you can pick up some fun techniques to use with your pens too, whatever the brand!

Found paper has been on my mind a lot this month! I think it might have started with my patterned paper collage whale for the mixed media video hop at the beginning of the month. But it is also because it has been the main topic with my patrons over on Patreon in August. So I’ve been sharing lots of ideas for using found paper and patterned paper on Patreon and YouTube and today I have another! It is a found paper inspiration page with some found paper, of course, paint and a bird sketch.
It was a mostly intuitive piece, so I didn’t have a plan for most of it. I say most of it because as I got to the end the bird became a conscious decision rather than completely intuitive! Now I did not get a chance to voice this video today so it is mostly to music but I hope that you still enjoy watching the whole process!

So you all know how I am trying to use up my patterned paper right? And from what you have been telling me you are too! So how about this as a project idea? I’ve used one of my household cactus plants to make a cute little collage and paper pieced picture. I am sharing my full collage process in my video today plus some tips and tricks to help you with your collage.
All the patterned paper I have used is a bit out of date so I haven’t listed the exact papers that I used in my supplies list but the I have listed everything else, so you can find that under the video as usual!

Do you use Inktense Blocks? They are like the pencil but in a block form, like a pastel. You can get some fun effects with Inktense Blocks and I thought that I would do my whole page today using them to add some color. So I have some different ways to use them to share plus a little story about this page from my junk journal with it’s picture of the London Stone in my video today.
I really like the intensity of color you can get with inktense if you get the amount of water right! So play about and see what you can do with yours!

So change is good right? Of course it is! So yes, I will be making some changes to my YouTube channel in August and possibly longer, I am not really sure how it will turn out but if you want to know more about the changes, and why I am making them, then watch the video. I spill all of the beans whilst I make some face art. That just makes it sound like I am making faces at you in the video! No, I’m not! But I am making an abstract background with acrylic paint then drawing the face that appeared in the background. Because, oddly one did appear from this background for me, see if you can spot her too before I draw her in!

When was the last time that you were painting on fabric? I think for me it must have been a while ago. The closest was when I made that How To Emboss on Fabric video and then I used stamps so no painting on fabric was involved! But I did have this piece of denim left over after that session and I had already treated it with some gel medium through a stencil. So last week I decided that it needed to be painted on and here is how I did it!

Get your sunglasses out! This is a little on the bright side! I’ve gone fluorescent for a change and I’ve used up those paper masks from last week’s Sunday art video. Now I wanted to do something different with this page so going bright against those paper masks seemed like a great way to change it all up! But fluorescent colors are so hard to capture in a photo, the project is even brighter in real life than I can get with these photos! Just turn up the saturation to get the idea!
