Coming Up In March 2024 Art Club
Hey Amazing Artist,
New month time! It’s March1st so let’s have a look at what art we will be focusing on in Art Club! March is a month of focal images. Have fun focusing on different ways to explore focal images in your work. Starting with the Welcome video on the 1st, where we will do some focal image warms ups to get you thinking about what themes you might want to use in your projects for March.
Journal Club
Then in Journal Club I have some layering techniques to help you add that interest and texture to make your focal images pop from the page. And I am using poppy seed heads for my theme.
In all of my projects in March I will be using a mix of gouache, coloured pencils and graphite pencils but also talking about using your acrylics for the techniques if you would prefer to stick with them. You do not need to use the same materials as me and a lot of the ideas and techniques can be adapted for use with your favoured materials with a bit of trail and error play. So feel free as always to switch up what you like to use. I will let you know when the techniques can’t be used with the different materials and give you alternate ideas too.

In The Studio
You can have a play with three ‘In The Studio’ projects coming up for anyone on one of the three Studio Clubbies tier, or on the Video-Fantastic founder members tier.
The first ‘In The Studio’ we will be taking a different approach to building layers and adding a focal image to make a finished page, this time with a bunny-theme. So have fun experimenting and finding ways to bring out the best in your focal images.
For the second ‘In The Studio’ video in March, it’s time to revisit the Iris from the February ‘In The Studio’ and see if we can use that as a starting off point for idea generating some more approaches to focal images with two new and different versions to help you expand you ideas and explore your own style.

March 2024 Art Pack Download
For the March Digi-Delightfuls art pack I have the bunny and irises from the February and March ‘In The Studio’ projects for you to play with in your collage. The Seed heads are there too, but in a form that you can use them as they are or add to them to finish them how you would like. Then there are some of the doodles from February too to cut up, tear up and layer up!
The pack will be out on the 3rd March for you to download, if you are on the Studio Clubbies or Studio PLUS Clubbies tiers, as well as for the two founder member tiers. Plenty of time to download, print and play. I will be back at the end of the month with some ideas for using it too.
