Journal Clubbies
My July 2022 Art club – journal club is all about free-form playing and setting yourself free with your art! We will be playing with different media and looking at creating some quick abstracts.
I’m also continuing our experiments with graphite, that we started in the June Studio Club, and combining it with some different materials this time to see where it will take us next.
So it won’t be just one journal page but a little series of them this month! Grab your water-reactive coloured pens, pencils and some graphite and let’s play with our composition!
In The Studio
Drawing is one of my favourite arty things to do and it turns out that it is high on your art priority list too, if our last poll in art club was anything to go by!
So in July we will be looking inside one of my sketchbooks, with tips for using them in your own practice to help your art to grow.
We will also be doing some drawing exercises together too. I tend to tackle drawing with different approaches and using different tools. So we shall have a look at some of the them and you can see which you like to use yourself and which help you.
Then later in the month I have a limited colour palette painting exercise for you, that uses drawing as a base.
So lots to keep you practising, playing and building your art!
And of course we have the July Digi-Delightfuls art pack download to play with too! And this month we have a different colour combo to play with!
So lot’s of arty fun and different things to get your art teeth stuck into! First up is our abstract play for journal club coming ready for some weekend play! I hope you will join me!
