If you saw my Wednesday Art video this week then you will know that I promised you a project idea for your acrylic skin shapes! Have you made one yet? Or is that today’s project? Well, if you have made your acrylic skin shape or you are about to make it then here is a project idea for using it and also some tips on how to attach it to your project too. I only point this out because it isn’t always obvious how to actually stick the acrylic skin down as not everything will work, so watch the video and stick around to the end to find out more! Also in this video today I have some gel printing for you as I know how much you love it!
The supplies I have used are listed below and of course there is a close-up photo of the project too!

VIDEO: How To Use Your Acrylic Skin Shape – Gel Print Card
——— S U P P L I E S ———
Gel Press and other monoprinting plates (I’ve used the 6×6 inch Gel Press today)
Amsterdam Standard Acrylic Paint (Quinacridone Rose Light, Pyrrole Red, Turquoise Green, Paynes Grey)
Amsterdam Acrylic Paint nozzles
Brayers
Fabriano Accademia Paper is great for printing as it is cheaper but if you can’t find it then try other student art or drawing paper. You can also use the Strathmore Printmaking paper but it is more expensive.
I’ve used 290gsm (approx 130lb) cardstock and card blanks from Card Blanks Direct (UK):
Golden Regular gel (Gloss)
Palette knives
If you haven’t made your own acrylic skin shape then you can watch how to make one in my !
And then there are some more gel printing techniques for you and I have put them in a – enjoy!
Thanks for watching and don’t forget to let me know if you want more videos on this subject!
Have a wonderful creative day.
