I’m testing out some acrylic paints today and sharing how I test out new paint. The paints under the arty microscope in my video are the Pebeo Studio DYNA Iridescent acrylic paints, now these aren’t new paints, they have been around for a while but they are new to me and I’m just giving them a test drive to see how they work. But I would love to hear about your experiences with them if you have tried them.
I’m also sharing a couple of other things that I am also testing out today, a technique and a style, so I hope you enjoy watching the process. As always the products that I have used are listed below the video plus there is a close-up photo of the finished project too.

They are so shiny! Oh and look what I found whilst I was uploading this video to YouTube…it’s an amazing paint pouring video from the Debs At Acrylic Pouring Channel using the Pebeo iridescent acrylic paint. Yum results! I keep meaning to try out paint pouring but still haven’t given it a go. Have you tried it yet? Got any favourite videos or tips you would like to share about paint pouring?

I started watching your videos a few months ago and I love them. I just watched this one and I have to say that for an experiment, this is gorgeous! Coincidentally I was looking at these paints just last week and thinking of getting them. I love shiny! You’ve convinced me that I need them in my life :). very unusual project… but absolutely pretty. I have to admit I liked just the beginning with these iridescent paints best LOL
It is amazing what you did with it and how it turned out.
You can never go wrong with Pebeo paint and I the gesso I mainly use is from them. Really huge tubs and reasonably priced. Haven’t tried these shiny ones yet, but they look really pretty.
I am up to date now with your videos 🙂

Thanks Rena, yeah, I know that timelapse to music isn’t always popular. I did think of doing the video in two parts but in the end I did as the whole you can see. I wasn’t sure anyone would find the messy play at the beginning interesting LOL! And that they would want a finished project! So I was wrong there! 😀 😀

Thank you! I thought I was just being a bit overkill but it seems I’m not the only one with a mistrust of Washi Tape! It does need extra glue doesn’t it?! 😀

I forgot to give my opinion with washi tape. I don’t use it. It never sticks, looks mostly cheap and I don’t really know what to use it for because of that. I have some somewhere though, it probably won’t stick at all anymore since I have that since ages.
To use as low tack tape it is too expensve, for structure are much better things. One could use it for quick cards, but paper stripes or ribbon stripes do the same thing and one has enough of that at hand as that is usually leftover stuff one does not throw away.

I love the pebeo paints. Try them with Gelli printing too. This was a fun and pretty tutorial. I need to learn to work with detail brushes too.
