New video time and another in my PaperArtsy Make and Take video series. If you haven’t yet caught up with this series this is the third of four projects. The first I shared was the Seth Apter-Inspired Canvas Board and the second was the Decorated Tape Dispenser Project. I put together all these projects for PaperArtsy and then ran them as Make and Take projects for them at Crafting At Ally Pally in September last year.
But as I’ve been getting into videoing I decided to video the making of the samples and then share the projects here on my blog as well so that if you managed to do the make and take you have a handy refresher of what we did but if you didn’t managed to make, it then you can now do a similar project at home, at your own pace watching the video.
So this week the project is the decorating of a notebook cover.
All using PaperArtsy Stamps from three different designers (one of them me, in case you hadn’t spotted my little lion!) and PaperArtsy Fresco Finish acrylic paints.
It is super bright and super textured, although you can’t really see the texture in the photo above, but it is! I applied the paint in a particular way, as I show in the video, to give an almost ridges or lined texture to the cover.
And of course strong rainbow effect colours were all the rage last year in the mixed media world and this is a super fun way to add that effect to your projects too.
