Make It Crafty Guest DT Spot

Hi guys, I don’t know if any of the keen eyed amongst you spotted but I had a Guest DT spot on Friday 29th June (yesterday!) on the Make It Crafty Blog with one of my Make It Crafty makes.

Here is my make in case you didn’t see it. You might recognise the image as I gave you a bit of a sneak peek whilst I was colouring her the week before.

I used the lovely Elven Ardella rubber stamp for this greeting card with a bit of a
mixed media twist.

I thought that Ardella was very beautiful and very feminine so I used the delicate Circle Frame Chipboard Embellishment painted with blue, white and black acrylic paint and added sparkle with Stickles glue. By the way you can also find Ardella as a digi-stamp too.

But then what better way to mix up all this soft femininity than with some industrial grunge. She is a bit like me, soft and fluffy but loves rust and metal too!

The Gears Galore Chipboard Embellishments are perfect to feed my grungy needs!

I’ve used paint on these guys too, first a covering of black acrylic paints.

Then a swipe with a dry brush of red and white paint followed by some stippling with gold paint.

Thanks so much to Tracy and Zoe for having me as a guest DT, thanks to you as well for popping by.

Have a super feminine grunge kind of day.

Kim

I'm always amazed by how your style works with the more 'girly' stamps! I never seems as though it should, but it does!
