Cute Card Thursday – Challenge 140

Did you see this week’s challenge over at Cute Card Thursday? It is

Blast From the Past

Where you can use a theme from one of this years CCT previous challenges,

I chose the Bug challenge for my make. Our sponsor this week is…The Stamp Shoppe

For my make I’ve gone for a very subtle colour palette of teal and vintage gold. I’ve used papers from the Pink Paislee Old School collection available over at Quixotic Paperie and matched them with the very sweet Little Acorn Stamp from the Victoria Case for SCACD collection.

The sentiment is from the Whimsy Sentiment Collection and I’ve grunged it up with Tim Holtz Rangers distress inks and crackle glue.

You can’t see it too well on the front view photograph but I’ve edged everything with gold ink.

I don’t know if you have had a chance yet to check out the new Pink Paislee Artisan Elements but you really should! They are such fun. I have a pack of the Pink Paislee Artisan Elements – Swirls and they are fabulous to play with. They are three dimensional stickers that are made of a sort of spongy plastic that takes paints, inks etc, so you can colour them however you want.

I used them here to add a little 3D swirly accent to the card, but I also used them to ‘stamp’ swirls in gold on the corners of the image for a bit of extra texture.

BTW – Big SCACD Stamp Offer – Between 27th November and 4th December Buy ANY SCACD Stamps set OR 4 of ANY INDIVIDUAL SCACD Stamps from the selection at Quixotic Paperie and get ONE free stamp from the SCACD stamp line (the free stamp will be selected by Elaine – no exchanges).  You can buy stamps from any of the three SCACD Stamps artist lines available at Quixotic Paperie.

For those of you in the US Susana is also having a big special offer on all exclusive SCACD stamps lines, as above, at Susana’s Custom Art & Card Design!  For full details please see the SCACD Store Blog!

Right I’ll be off, hope you all enjoy your day.
