Is This A Card I See Before Me?

It certainly is and about time too!

I got a gorgeous DT pack from Elaine over at Quixotic Paperie and in it was this sweet Whimsy Giraffe and scrummy DCWV Citrus papers. The jute is very versatile. I cut mine in half and threaded a piece of raffia through it. The flower is from the Petaloo Dahlia Retro Orange/Burgandy kit and I was blown away by the quality. I’ve not used these flowers before and they are beautiful, you get gems in the kit as well (think they might be falling into my basket from time to time!).

But these are not the only things in my DT pack – Elaine sent me an absolutely glorious card with so much detail, you can see it on her blog here. It has pride of place in my craft space (well, it will have when my craft space is finally sorted out!).

Right, I have to get a wiggle on; I was meant to pop into town (Oxford Street for my sins) two hours ago before the crowds really kicked in – Oops!

Stamp – Whimsy Giraffe
Ink – Versafine Onyx black
Colouring – PrismaColor pencils; Koh-I-Noor pencils; Sansodor
Papers – DCWV Citrus Stack
Usual Suspects – Silicone glue; Double-sided tape; Paper trimmer
Other – Petaloo Dahlia; Jute; Raffia

  1. Wow Kim, I see you are back in business and its lovely to see you again. I love giraffes, and this one is gorgeous, I love the papers and the flowers are lovely.
The cable thats missing has probably been left at one of the places my hubby visits in his job as a computer engineer.
Anyway Kim I have left you something on my blogspot, you will be able to pick up later as Im still trying to post it. With love and hugs Shirleyxxxx

  2. Yowser. lovely citrus colours. I can never quite make jute look as if it belongs on a card – Magenta have a finer weave one that I just gave up on really. How inspiring to see you use it so succesfully.

  3. Fabulous, Kim! You've created a fantastic card using Whimsy Giraffe. And the flower looks gorgeous. Great idea with the jute and raffia too. 🙂

So glad you liked the card. 🙂 Hope Oxford Street wasn't too bad!
